The Classic Pens CP2 Pushkin, launched in 1993, was the fruit of a special collaboration between Classic Pens, Sheaffer and the Pushkin Prizes, a literary awards program for children in Ireland presided over by the Duchess of Abercorn, descendant of Aleksandr Pushkin, the founding father of modern Russian literature. Classic Pens gave a donation to the Pushkin Prizes for each pen sold.The engravings were created using modern computers.The CP2 Pushkin is complete cap and barrel in sterling silver. It was offered in a single world wide edition of 500 pens. This pattern is exclusive to Classic Pens for the Crest in sterling silver. The Crest replicates the elegant design of the Sheaffer esteemed Snorkel pen of the 1950s. The pens are laser engraved on the cap ornament with the CP2 logo and the individual limited edition number. The cap band is engraved with the manufacturer's name, Sheaffer, and the pens carry the London Assay Office sterling silver mark. The cap is also laser engraved with the stanza in original Russian and Aleksandr Pushkin's signature.It is fitted with an 18 karat solid gold inlaid nib, a Sheaffer exclusive.PenHero.com is an authorized agent for this edition.
