This Metropolitan Museum of Art Ballpoint Pen is based on the award-winning design by Rudolph (Rudy) de Harak's (American, 1924-2002) for the Museum's paper shopping bag, introduced in the late 1970s to coincide with the renovation and expansion of the Museum's Gift Shop. Since its debut, the bag has become an American icon with millings in print, making it a very visible symbol of the Museum.
The highlight of the pen is the smooth twist-action ballpoint system, activated by turning the tip cone. The Metropolitan Museum of Art logo appears on the cap top. Brass base metal body with heavy chrome plate accents.
Handsomely packaged in a color coordinated paperboard gift box. Uses the smooth writing Waterford Ballpoint refills. One refill is included, installed in the pen. Limited 1 Year Warranty.
