These Wearever Supreme Fountain Pens are part of new old stock pens we found from a distributor warehouse. These are c1955 vintage pens.
Wearever sold several pens using the name Supreme. This version was a lever-fill pen with an all plastic cap and barrel, chrome plated or stainless trim and a medium stainless steel nib. They were sold to dealers loose in boxes of 24 pens and a cardboard display stand that the pens could be arranged on. They orginally sold for 39 cents.
Each pen is water tested to ensure the ink sac works and dip tested to ensure the nib is smooth. As the pen is 60 years old, we can't guarantee how long the ink sac will last, and it may eventually need to be replaced. The trim ring is friction fit, so it may slip off. Some pens have had the trim ring secured with shellac.
Each pen is mint, but may show wear from rubbing up against other pens in the box, some trim discoloration, and some surface defects, as these were inexpensive, injection molded pens. The photo is representative of the pen you will get, but we have many in stock, so it may not show the exact pen.
The stainless steel nib is medium, but instead of traditional tipping, the tip is bent around into a tip ball. It will wear down after a lot of heavy use.
These are great beginner pens if you want to try out a fountain pen for only ten bucks.
A find if you are looking for an original, unused Wearever Supreme Fountain Pen from that period.
